VGA and DVI on the same monitor

DSD27

Does VGA look different from DVI on the same monitor, with the same GPU and resolution (only 1080p)?

My monitor is a DELL U2312HM, it doesn't have HDMI. I have been using my pc though DVI but now I want to connect a PS4 Slim too, using HDMI to VGA is a lot of work, so I thought I could connect the PC through VGA and use HDMI to DVI for the PS4 Slim.

VGA will look worse, at first it'll look alright but then once you start using it you'll realize it looks like complete crap.

It should be. If it is different, it would be barely noticeable.

Well, if that works it would be the best option, never crossed my mind.

I have a HDMI to DVI converter that came with my GTX 770, it's not a cable like your link, it's just the adaptor. But I guess it does the exact same thing right?

What is the different between this?

I know they're more expensive than Amazon but they're the only ones I can just go outside and buy them instead of ordering,

Functional the same, just different brands. I'm not familiar with ether brand, but if those were my choices, I would just get the cheaper one.

Also DVI and HDMI cables, gender changers, couplings. converters can be put together in any way and still work.

My current setup using everything listed above, in many different configs to 6 screens 3 meters away running off a GTX 1070 and HD 7850. Yes i have AMD and Nvidia GPU's in the same motherboard.

Right now I just put DVI to VGA for PC (my gtx 770 does not have VGA) and HDMI to DVI for the PS4.

I will try to see if I notice some difference in the picture quality from the PC. If I do, I will then do the HDMI switch.

Thanks guys

All righ.. so far it seems to be the same. At first Nvidia DSR wasn't working, I thought it would be a problem but after updating the drivers it does work now.

Funny that almost anywhere on the internet there are people saying that DVI looks better thab VGA.
