Floating Top Button

brob

A number of forum & other web sites now have a floating "top" button in the bottom right area of the window. Clicking the button scrolls the page back to the top.

This would be a really useful feature for this forum.

Still think a visible button is easier. One click vs click, move, click.

Yes. Perhaps it would have to be excluded on smaller devices.

In my browser (Chrome) clicking on the top arrow of the scroll bar that just moves up 1 line per click, press slow scroll up. Clicking just under the arrow pages up.

I use chrome, you don't click the arrow, the actual bar I mean.

As I perhaps said unclearly, that just moves up 1 page per click.

You just hold the click and itt goes to the top in less than a second.

Just because there is a (slightly) more complicated workaround does not invalidate the utility of a single click move to top.

I almost always scroll to the top of a thread I've finished reading and click on a desired fragment of the breadcrumb. Perhaps I am unique. But as I mentioned in the OP I have seen this feature on other forums.

i have to agree with you. although there are ways to do things, having an easier way is nice.
