PC upgrade | $800 to spend

krupty

Hi there!

I'm looking to upgrade my computer when I get my next paycheck.

Right now my PC have:

i7 6700k

Asus Z170-A

16 GB DDR4

120 GB SSD (3 years old)

250 GB HDD (5 years old)

GTX 770

Im looking to spend max $800.

I'm looking to play games like PUGB, Arma 3 etc and stream at some special occasions.

What do you recommend for me?

Upgrade that GPU. Rest should be good to go. Although adding a 1TB (or more) mechanical drive would also help a lot

Yup. Go for a 980 Ti or 1070 if you can find one, plus a 1TB HDD for games.

Definitely purchase a GPU. A 1070 or a 1080 is a great choice, and your CPU will not be a bottleneck.

Should be enough for a 1080ti and 2 tb hard drive...do that  your 6700k will still suck at streaming but at least your graphics will be amazing

I was thinking about buying a new SSD because mine is 3 years old. But is that necessary?

It's an option but personally I would get a 1080 (ti) and then spend what's left on storage

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Okey, do you recommend any specific hard drive? Does Seagate Barracuda work?
