New GPU PC turns off

NicoGutierrez
Go to solution Solved by STRMfrmXMN,

Your PSU is very good and provides plenty of wattage. Shouldn't really be the problem but if your PC runs fine without the dGPU installed then I'd assume it might be the PSU. It should be under warranty though so just email CM and they'll help you out.

Two days ago I bought an EVGA ftw3 1080 ti, and since I installed it, my pc has turned off 5 times without warning, while i was gaming. I think its because of my psu, but Its a Cooler Master V650, i thought 650w would be enough for a 1080 ti, and the psu has good reviews. Could there be any other reason for this to happen? is my psu defective? Thanks

I know this might sound dumb but, are your gpu fans running? I know that my gtx 970 didn't turn on fans until I got a program to turn them on. Might be dumb advice bc I'm not that experienced
