Can't hear my friends on discord

^^^^ I don't know where this thread should go so I'm putting it here in Audio
Well I got a mic (an AT2020), I was in a group with my friend but he could hear me but I couldn't hear him so does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Not your mic, your speakers/headphones. You can mute them separately IIRC.

Here:

 

You see these next to your username in the bottom right corner. One mutes the mic, the other 'deafens' (mutes your headset, so you can't hear anything). If you mic isn't muted, everyone can still hear you.

Your headset is set up right, volume on windows is up, your 'Net connection is good, and the headphones are selected/recognized by Windows?
