Konyo

I have a default Intel Gateway Sx2855-UR30P Desktop

Everything is default the case (images can be found on google with the above mention model)

O.S is windows 10 and integrated graphics card along side a Intel core processor i3-2120. 1TB Hard Drive and ive added 1 extra 2gb stick of ram in the second avaiable slot bringing the default ram from 2 to 4.

My desire is to add a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti Graphics card as my first modification to my rig but before i ordered it i was wondering if anyone sees any issues with just adding it in is there enough space in the case?, is it compatiable with the motherboard?, is there enough wattage to handle the new GTX?

Any and all help would be useful.

Please and Thank You!

a CPU upgrade may be more beneficial, also if you want to upgrade your GPU id recommend also buying a cheap full size atx case and a cheap but nice psu like an evga b series

Omega-  I5 6600k | Gigabyte GTX 1060 | Cougar Panzer | DDR4 16GB 3000MHz | MSI Z170 Gaming M5

               EVGA 650 GQ | AOC 60Hz Freesync Panels x2 | AOC 144hz Freesync Panel x1

Epsilon- I7 2700k | Asus GTX 970 | Corsair 780t | DDR3 8GB 1600MHz | EVGA Z68 FTW Mobo

               Corsair 750W G2 | Acer R240HY x2

Upsilon- i7 5500u | 6GB DDR3 | 720p 60Hz panel

Scrapping that and starting from scratch would be a much better idea. That's a proprietary SFF based system, meaning @21rkosta's good idea of switching cases is unfortunately may not be really viable.

It also means a full size 1050 Ti may not fit, and you may need a low-profile card to work with that case. Hard to say with the limited information and pictures available.

Honestly I think you should save your money and build a new system entirely.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

you will need a low-profile 1050ti judging from the case dimensions. other than that the rest should be fine, but take note that 4gb won't cut it for any new game and probably many older games, do an upgrade to 8gb when you can.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

since there seem to be no pictures or informations about the psu on the web, you probably have to tell us how much wattage your psu has. The zotac 1050 ti mini needs atleast a 300w psu

@ApolloX75 from what i can gather its actually a uatx/matx motherboard

Yeah, judging from the conflicting images I'm finding of the motherboard I'd rather err on the side of caution and say it's likely more hassle than it's worth. But it's entirely possible!

http://skyline-eng.com/gateway-sx2855-intel-core-i3-h61h2-ad-motherboard-mb-gcf07-001/ here's a replacement board for the gateway, connectors are bog-standard and screw holes fit m-atx standards, it's not a proprietary board.
