Wait for ryzen 7 laptops?

I'm thinking to buy a new laptop and my main use case is video editing / content creation (and I usually run 3 OS at the same time). My budget is around 3-4k USD.

I was originally looking at something like eurocom p7 pro se, but the xeon cpu is just way too freaking expensive, and does not offer great value.

So should I wait for ryzen 7 laptops to come out or just burn my bucks now?

Rog Strix gl702zc is out of  the question since I need more ram, and preferably nvme ssds.

Also, since Asus announced gl702zc at the end of May, it has been another 2 months yet the laptop market is quite silent. What is going on?
