Is Luke getting fired because in the most recent WAN show at the start they said luke had a new job?

Only just watching it now. I assume he's moved to Floatplane set up as a new legal entity.

Ok, finished watching it now. No formal announcement. Reading between the lines, I think Luke is effectively going full time on Floatplane, to the extent it may be a new company based away from core LMG. That new company will still be owned at least in part by Linus and/or LMG so he is still part of it, but in a more detached role.

Since Floatplane is owned by LMG, it's unlikely "Luke will leave LMG", regardless of Floatplane's status unless it actually splits from the parent company.

Luke is currently on Ahch-To. We do not know why he is there though or if he will come back, but I think things will become more clear in winter when the movie is released.
