That wattage might be a bit overkill for that hardware combo, I go with a 500w unit instead, might be cheaper

That power supply should be quite OK, I also do recommend the 500BQ from EVGA (https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=110-BQ-0500-K1)if you need more power head room.

P/S: You can read some reviews from JonnyGURU (http://www.jonnyguru.com) if you need some expert opinions on power supply, he makes some of the best reviews on power supply.

This is an excellent cheap option. If you want to get a better one for even further in the future, or aim to get something better than an i5/gtx 1070-like rig, I'd probably recommend something like this (although there are quite a few good options in the $80-100 range).

Previously Trogdor8freebird

5800x | Asus x570 Pro Wifi (barely enough for 64GB apparently given it's 2133 and still crashes sometimes) | 64GB DDR4 | 3070 Ti 8GB | Love that whole weeb shit

which country are you at? neither the BQ or B1 are very good quality. look for a CX450/550M or Seasonic S/M12ii(albeit old) instead.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

wich would be Skylake-X and a Titan, wich seems highly unlikely...

For a normal mid range system and future upgrades, 650W is just bullshit because you might need half of it - if you're lucky.

Sometimes not even that.

Even with my i7-3930K + RX480 (Power Color Red Devil) I'm normally at around 300W (+/- 50W) on my Powerconsumptionguessing Device...

And it's safe to assume that mid range Hardware will not consume more powe rin the future...

Overclocked Vega is known to draw >400w from the wall for the GPU alone...

You have any infos about power consumation of RX VEGA 56 and RX VEGA 64??

And why do you think that _SAITAMA_ would want one?!

Just pointing out that a single GPU can draw a fuckton of power.

Sauce: "Speaking of power consumption, the OC stepping table above shows some of that: Our overclocked Vega FE Hybrid mod had us around 33.3A at the rails, not counting PCIe power, for a GPU power consumption of 400W. That’s GPU power, not total system power (which is new for our tests, hence italics to emphasize). This is the limit for Vega, and is the reason we can’t OC higher.

We can’t yet measure at the PCIe interface, but we’re working on it. For now, we know that 33.3A * 12V = ~400W through the cables, plus whatever’s going through PCIe (up to 75W, by spec)."

- Stevey B from a Vega watercooled mod to test overclocking: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2986-amd-vega-hybrid-mod-results-overclocking-liquid-vs-air/page-2

EDIT: This is Vega FE, RX 64 will draw less but I can still see it easily hitting 350+w after a decent OC...
