Small full size ATX motherboard case, mini tower size

HI,

 

I have a number of industrial machines which have PC's in the back of them, They are currently mini towers, with micro ATX motherbords,  10-15 year old vintage Dell's etc.

A mid tower case is too tall to fit in the space allocated for the PC,  There is a structural cross beam in the way.
I am look for the minitown that can take a ATX motherboard, as any modern motherboard with 2-3 32bit PCI slots is ATX form factor, The control cards for the machines are 32bit PCI and there are 2-3.

Need to a contingency plan for the when the PC's fail

 

I have the following dimensions to play with:

420mm high

450mm deep

250mm wide

The best thing that is close is short depth rack mount server, but they are 425-430mm wide.

 

I am thinking I need to find something with a front mounted PSU, as the height of the motherboard and PSU is what dictates the minimum height.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

not quite sure what 32bit PCI is to be honest, but im guessing its not PCIe. anyway the Define C is pretty small, not as small as possible but still quite small for an ATX case

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Any reason it has to be atx and not something actually compact like an itx build?

That radiator with the white fitting and tubing looks like I could use it in a custom loop...

 

Why not just build the PC in the old case? Since the old ones work so well.

 

By the shinyness of that Dell logo I can tell these PCs were taken care of.

Its an Ekra X4 screen printer.

Want to move to a standardised hardware platform.

 

Have opened up all the machines and reviewed them,  3 have 2 PCI cards and 2 which are build differently have rackmount ATX cases have 3 PCI cards.

 

So can get away with a mini ATX case with the HP DC7700 CMT extendable motherboard, it expands to 4 PCI slots via an extender cards, and then use that in the ATX rackmount cases that need 3 PCI slots.  The motherboards with CPU's are available in quantity with CPU's for less than $25.  They are alot older than I would like, but its like $25 vs $600-700, So can cry a little bit about that.

Going to buy 3 of the fractal design 1100 mini cases.

Just order a Lian-Li pc-a55 to try, so my motherboard options moving forward are open
