Is there a reason why u chose red pro? From what I know, black and red pro have 64mb cache while the gold has 128mb cache at 2tb which is the one I want to get. Although I'm not sure if that is important for video editing

It isn't too important. I chose the Red Pro because they have a good track record, are silent/quiet, and have a good warranty. The Gold is a bit louder, which is a drag if you're going RAID.
