Need to access device that has a beyond broken screen

I have had an iPhone 5s for about 3 years, its been through the wars for sure. Anyway, a few weeks ago I dropped the phone and the screen is completely destroyed, Doesn't register any touch, different pressure the lot, and the phone died so I cant even use touch ID to unlock it. Im trying to get into it to get off my images, as they werent backed up to my iCloud. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can control the device through a computer or anything? Ill attach photos of the screen

Thats a decent idea, but i want to just get things off it and be done with it, minimal amount of money. Although I'm considering it anyway to jailbreak :P

I have changed screens before, very easy stuff

You should be able to just open the photos through File Explorer if it's the same computer you've used to manage it via iTunes.

Darn. Time to call @DrMacintosh because he/she knows more about Apple stuff than I do.

This would be very easy if you could touch the screen, unfortunately if you plug an iPhone into a Mac or a PC you have to "trust" the computer you are plugging into from the phone and since you can't the easiest method will not work.

I will look into some recovery programs and find one that I would be willing to use myself so I can refer you to it.

However, if you have plugged this iPhone into your computer before and trusted it, you will be able to get all your photos/videos off your device by navigating to the DCIM folder in FileExplorer on your PC.

Laptop: 2019 16" MacBook Pro i7, 512GB, 5300M 4GB, 16GB DDR4 | Phone: iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB | Wearables: Apple Watch SE | Car: 2007 Ford Taurus SE | CPU: R7 5700X | Mobo: ASRock B450M Pro4 | RAM: 32GB 3200 | GPU: ASRock RX 5700 8GB | Case: Apple PowerMac G5 | OS: Win 11 | Storage: 1TB Crucial P3 NVME SSD, 1TB PNY CS900, & 4TB WD Blue HDD | PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power 11 600W | Display: LG 27GL83A-B 1440p @ 144Hz, Dell S2719DGF 1440p @144Hz | Cooling: Wraith Prism | Keyboard: G610 Orion Cherry MX Brown | Mouse: G305 | Audio: Audio Technica ATH-M50X & Blue Snowball | Server: 2018 Core i3 Mac mini, 128GB SSD, Intel UHD 630, 16GB DDR4 | Storage: OWC Mercury Elite Pro Quad (6TB WD Blue HDD, 12TB Seagate Barracuda, 1TB Crucial SSD, 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD)

Here, if you can't just connect to your PC/Mac I would suggest checking out TunesGo:

https://tunesgo.wondershare.com

I'm not sure how capable the free version is but its worth a shot.

You may have to allow the program to access the information on the iPhone so you might end up in the same place again.
