I thought of this a while ago. I predict mortis, he says.... As nice as it would be, its too hard to implement with the current software, and the devs won't bother listening

And I love putting slices of baloney in my CD Drive.

And they can do this.

What's stopping troll of the day from editing your post? e.g. this:

Simple, have a system where OC can add specific people who can edit the topic :P

On a side note, @colonel_mortis, why do we have less 'basic' features than other (a lot less skinned) IPS-based forums? I mean they get to have 'ratings/reactions' for status updates...(and yes, I realise that specific feature should be coming within the next month or so)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

If they have reactions, it's because they're running the latest version, which launched a few days ago (but has been in beta for a while), which is what we will be updating to soon. If they just have like, that's because the custom reaction system that we're using doesn't support statuses, whereas they're using the stock like system. Now that reactions are a stock feature, we will be switching back to the stock version in a few weeks once all the compatibility issues have been worked out.

This would be awesome for team build logs though

I think so, but wouldn't a new post be better?

That way people get notified of the new build things. (I don't know if people get notified when edits occur if they follow a topic.)

There was a hook for IPBv3 that did just the thing, a Global Moderator/Admin would have to set it up though and of course we are running IPBv4 so the hook may not exist for v4.

I had it running on my old IPBv3 forum (Which I closed down a few years ago).

Yeah other forum I used just got 4.2 and it's great.

I'm pretty sure there is no notification if a topic is edited. Also, I do agree that simply creating a new post within the topic would be better. Then if the OP wishes to, they can just add that post into the original post via copy and paste.
