Hz and fps -_-?

So hey guys if i buy a 120hz monitor will i still get fps above 120? Or 120 is the maximum?

you get as much as your gpu can push out.

138 is a good number.

If you have V-Sync off, then your frame rate will be the max your GPU can push (No limit)

 

If you have V-Sync on, then your FPS will be capped at your monitors refresh rate ( i.e. it can never go beyond 120 in this case, but can be lower than that).
