How to convert gifv to gif?

That might be a bit difficult, as GIFV (which are superior to GIF in all ways except compatibility) are pretty much only used by IMGUR:

Looking at this however, try playing it in VLC as its really a video file (or simply rename the extension to .mp4 or .webm):

Copy the GIFV movie url and open it in a new tab (like example below)

Then go down to the bottom right of the image and click "download" and it will save as a regular GIF. I did this in Chrome browser on a Macbook.
