Way to save?

Guest

So my family wants to get unlimited on Verizon but we don't raise expenses. Currently the plan just went down from 250 to 230. We are on the 8gb plan. If we did auto pay and got a discount for also being a FiOS customer we'd be paying 250 a month. Is there any way to make it cheaper?

Not really, you can try to use ting, which LTT is partnered with. I think they have a discount code, check their videos. Cellular data rates should be dropping soon when 5g comes out though.

Eh not really interested in switching and the only thing would be TMobile if we did end up switching. And when will 5g come out and why would they drop?

5G is the next generation of cellular data, which, by the guidelines, will bring 1 gb/s speeds in cellular data. Tbh, it is very hyped and may not come out for a few years. The cost for maintaining 5g also would be very little so you basically get a lot more speed for buck.

They'd likely keep pricing the same, or perhaps even raise it since they're implementing new hardware.

Pay a group extremist guys to kidnap the Verizon CEO and then swoop in and save him just before they dump him in lava, and then he'll give you free cell service for the rest of your life. Don't get caught though, or you'll get free TV, a bed, and not much else for a long time.

Do you think theyre gonna lower their price to compete against tmbobile any time soon? It is compelling to switch tbh

Except that 5G is probably going to new equipment and/or an upgraded infrastructure which neither sound cheap to me...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I doubt it. They don't really have a reason to, they're priced competitively with AT&T right now.

Why would they? They have over twice the active subscribers.

Well they do have a reason if a family who has been with verizon for many years is considering a switch... (although we probably wont because of the coverage and it would be confusing since we just got a new phone, coverage is getting closer)

Yeah... IDK if they do that though. I'm on my dad's Verizon plan, but he gets a military discount, thus why he's stuck with them for a long time. One of my uncles was with T-Mobile so long he was still on the old pricing structure, but he moved to Cricket when they shut down the tower that served his house area.

Being with a company for n amount of years doesn't matter as much to companies as people think it does.

Sure they don't like losing customers, but you'll find they offer the same thing to people who want to leave the the end of a one year contract and people who have been with them for 15 years
