Yeah, no discussing how to make a hackintosh. It's probs a really old version anyways. I think snow leaped is the latest they offer on did, or maybe Lion.

I believe you can get a free "upgrade" from the Apple store. My friend had Lion and upgrade for free.

Yup. Though then you might as well get  friend with another mac and have them make you a bootable USB. You actually have to have a legit Mac available to make a Hackintosh, so it kind of defeats the point. This thread will probs get locked soon, so go check out the TonyMac forums for Hackintosh stuff.

I know about TonyMac. :P Although I visited the site a couple of times and stopped going there. My friend has a legit version of Lion OS. He had an old macbook.

Wait... So they can make a video about it but is not allowed to discuss it on the forum? I mean, which surprises to me is that they can make a video about it...

"They" being the key term. Us lackeys of the PCMR don't have such privileges to blatantly break the law and get away with it.

Well, It's Linus's forum. He can do what he wants. :P Also, it's against Apple's T&S to use Apple OS on non-apple hardware.

I knew someone would answer like this. Of course they can do whatever they want on their forum. I was more interested in the why, but hey, thanks for your contribution, I wasn't complaining about the rules, I was just genuinely curious.

I know. :P I also find it strange. :/ Also a strange thing, is that they did do a video on how to make a hackintosh...

look at how DCMA works. Apple could complain about that LTT video and the video will get taken down. They could complain about this forum and the forum would get taken down. One is throw away and the other is not.
