z170 or z270 for 6600k?

I wanna start building my pc and the only part that i need is the motherboard, i already chose the MSI z170 Gaming M5, but i wanna buy it when the price drops, i've seen it more than a few times below $150 and i don't know when it'll go down below $150.

So instead of waiting i've been thinking on getting a z270.

The z270 should natively support skylake and kaby lake right? so i will not run in any trouble?

do you have the CPU already? i5s are not worth getting, i suggest you go for ryzen 1600.

Yes, I already have the 6600k, I went with it because I only gonna do gaming, some people told me that ryzen is good for gaming and streaming/video editing.

Besides I also plan to emulate some games, and AMD doesn't like emulators.

No one will buy it unless its cheap, because everyone is already going with Ryzen.
