Airflow in a prebuilt case

Guest

TL;DR:

will a GTX 1050 overheat due to lack of airflow?

Long version:

i have an athlon ii x2 270 pc with 8gb ddr2 ram. Sporting 32 bit Windows 7. (I know my CPU is capable of 64 bit.)

I want to install a gtx 1050 for better gaming performance and shadowplay. (Mostly shadowplay. I have OBS on my Linux pc.)

based off these pictures would a gtx 1050 have enough airflow? I am mostly looking at the non blower style coolers as they're the cheaper ones. (Presuming blower style exist.)

the only 2 fans are CPU dedicated. One on the CPU heat sink, and the other at the end of a tunnel channeling air for the CPU. I don't see any other slots for fans, nor airflow.

1050 doesn't run hot, but you might not get any better performance with such a slow CPU.

Do you think that the 1050 will run fine in such an airflow restricted case? Without overheating?

Ps

Doubt it counts for much as gpu would do most of the work; however I was able to play Fallout 4 on ultra with that CPU and an r9 390. I cannot recall the frame rates.

I crammed a 7950 into a case with similar airflow options and it was fine, and since your CPU will bottleneck the tits out of that GPU, it won't get used enough to make a ton of heat in the first place.

Happy 25.000 posts!

Also thanks!! When I had my R9 390 in there, the side panel got so hot I burned myself opening it up to prevent any damage not already done to my components.

aylmao I'm officially a baby-post-count. :P

Honestly if I were you though I'd see if a 120mm fan could be squeezed in the front even just to blow warm air on shit because that'd be better than nothing.

Honestly I'm a bit impatient...

Because it was said it wouldn't get hot enough, and so fourth I bought the EVGA gtx 1050 ti ssc at best buy.

It's pretty good except I think my PSU isn't good enough. (it's one of those 'never buy' tier PSU.... Ultra LSP 500 WATT.)
