I guess it's quite fitting to do a thread about Steam since my account hit the 5 year mark earlier today.

 

What's the crowning achievement of your Steam account or games on Steam?

 

To answer my own question, it would probably be hitting level 52 last year.

not to dis on level 52 but what's the point of leveling far as I can see there's no real befits

loaf and let dough (A printer that doesn't print black ink)

The Cheese Toastie (C2D (of some sort), GTX 760, 3GB, win XP gaming machine)

Amount of friends you can add and profile showcases. Not much else outside of that.

Yeah, if you couldn't care less about either it'd be better to blow the money on a game or on in-game items.

My crowning achievement?  Probably the fact that I was able to finish my Masters thesis despite the Witcher 3 launching right when I began to write it!

I'm going to be perfectly honest, i have no idea what levels, achievements and gems etc do. I use Steam as an interface to access my games and nothing more.

Well what I always keep on my steam profile is the 50+ games owned, which is actually 92 games owned. Then there is the 5 years old account badge. The only thing I played in 2012 was TF2 and it shows... TF2 is still my most played game with 800 hours even though I haven't touched it in ages.

i stopped doing badges when i got to level 35, and just started selling trading cards (made about £50 since), i should have done it much sooner, leveling on steam is a bit pointless.
