WHY AND HOW do people drop there phones ? REALLY

Omg this is a strange thing to say I know but I HAVE NEVER EVER DROPPED MY PHONE and everyone in my family and everyone I see DROPS THER PHONe and worse people always crack there decrees once in there live wtf

i have had around 20 different phones in my life never dropped one and damaged it lol ok I've dropped one on the stairs with a carpet but I was carrying a stack of games so I just don't get it are people just clumsy lol?

I dropped my phone once in the last 3 years, it didn't break and it was more of a "omg it's slipping out of my hand uncontrollably after I picked it up wrong" moment. It feel on my foot, it hurts.

 

My brother went through 5 phones in 3 years because he keeps breaking them, I don't even.

I 'drop' my phone sometimes because small loose pockets are not good at retaining phones.

Often they are distracted, hold it wrong and drop it.

... Actually, no, that's not possible. Smartphones these days are like anti-English, their mere presence degrades the owner's grasp of grammar until they type like a drunk, mumbling Irish poet with the lung capacity of a whale.

 

Anyway, on the topic at hand, I suppose everyone has a reason. Maybe someone else was also carrying a huge stack of games and they just happened to not be over carpet?

I drop mine sometimes because, well, they suddenly decide to act as a piece of soap.

No idea why but it does happen...

 

And i've only broken 2 screens in my life.

1 happend because i wanted to be quick, phone slipped like a piece of soap straight onto one of the legs of my desk chair, funny note: case and screenprotector were in transit to me when that happend...

2nd one was a tablet and broke because i dropped my 20+ kilo pc case on it. Well i didn't drop my case i just basically put the damn thing on the tablet... Yea i'm not proud of that... If you are in a rush, move everything out of the way first...

Fumble it out of my pocket. 

Do some (not very good) swinging stuff on a set of rings, falls out of my shorts pocket onto asphalt.

Knocked it off the corner of the counter into a (thankfully clean) toilet. 

Etc.

 

For reference, most of these happened to my iPhone 6 Plus, and mostly after I got rid of my cases (still dropped it, but it was in a case then) and got my Brand skin. It's got some dents and chips and a slightly tweaked corner, but the screen is fine and it works with no problems.

Dropped my 4S trying to get it out of my pocket, straight onto a wood floor (my uncle had replaced the screen more than once, so it wasn't at full 4S bulletproofness). Cracked the screen, and to add insult to injury, my case and screen protector came a couple hours later.

U said securely but i said it wasn't because I had it balanced at the side of the stack I was carrying not in my hand 

 

but if it's just your phone only in your hand or even 2 hands people drop them

This. Though I have worked in a machine shop and I've dropped wrenches and stuff on my screen and shattered it, and by shattered it, I mean I shattered the 1$ glass screen protector. Seriously, all of you, go buy one

It's a thing called an accident. I don't think they mean to drop their phone.

 

Just not a good grip or something slippery on your hands or case. 

 

I've dropped it taking it out of my pocket many times.

I've had my Galaxy S4 for maybe three years. Got one brand new, three days later I was taking it out of my pocket, cracked the screen. Not a big one, mind you, just a hairline.

 

Three years later, I dropped it again. Another crack.

 

A couple weeks ago I dropped it. More cracks.

 

Basically, I'm not careless. People who drop their phones are careless.

 

If you're getting a girl/boyfriend, look how they treat their phone, cause that's how they'll treat you.

I've dropped my phone several times. Most of the time it's because the pocket of my jacket is too shallow so it finds a way to slip out. That being said, I've only had scratches and scuffs. Never understood how people crack their screens a week after purchase. I remember when the iPhone 6 originally came out, a week later, I saw someone on the metro with an example that featured a cracked screen and bent frame. There I stood there wondering... how... 

 

Even when I was in highschool, every single iPhone and iPod touch had a cracked screen.

I drop my phone so much it isn't funny. Im really clumsy for some odd reason, If you look at my S4 Active you can tell I dropped the poor thing so many times. My S6 had the advantage of being in a case that took a serious beating to the point it was almost useless to use the case on my S6. Then I upgraded to the S7 Active and made god damm sure it had a case on it. So far I haven't dropped my phone in the past month somehow. So I guess its just draw of the luck with how well your phone is going to survive
