Prism FBI Ransomware help!

Hi. I just had my phone infected with this FBI ransomware stuff, and I managed to recover it by deleting the app that I installed that caused this(via safe mode) but my phone acts a bit different now. It seems to run hotter than usual, and opening up CPU-z, I can see that the cpu load never really seems to go below 15%, which is quite unusual because it's not doing anything. How can I fully recover my phone to it's fully original state? I'm thinking that there is some kind of 'residual' virus that my phone's virus scans can't find, and is using up my phone's processing power. Please help ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Seriously though, download something like Sophos Antivirus and run a scan, and it should clean up anything left.

As I just found out recently with a tablet I lent out to someone, once rooted even a factory reset doesn't remove everything. If it goes that far, the safest option would then be to clean download and re-image the device. Usually not a simply process.

for me I'm too deep into Android and can never go back...

 

Right now I have:

Custom launcher

icon pack

theme

some minor software mods

also installing apks is nice and I can torrent/download things directly to my phone and external storage and easy file transfers and Vysor

 

Also I'm learning android app development so owning an Android phone is helpful.

 

Some people act all 'android master race' but then don't even change the fucking wallpaper. The whole point of Android is customization, if you don't use that OP then get an iPhone

I'd just break an Android if I had one, from incessant tinkering. So I gotta stick with iPhones. Besides, I love iOS and the design of the actual phone.

I like iOS because android is spread too thin... too many bugs and hold ups, iOS is a lot smoother. But overall I'd prefer a perfect Android device to any iPhone, but Pixels don't have expandable storage (yet? pls google)
