1360x768 to 1440p

mockedarche

FINALLY im getting a actual monitor i have been gaming and well completely using a 29 inch 1360x768 and before you go eww ..... I literally just got a job now I have money saved up and built my first real gaming pc with a 1050ti yes I know 1440p is too amazing for this card but in games like overwatch and league of legends I can still play maxed or at high and other games I plan to use the 1360x768 because while I guess it wouldn't be the clearest (tbh I seriously dont notice any jaggyness or anything it looks very sharp to me) the colors are really nice and true to what they should be but in short before i ramble all day from excitement ......... display port vs hdmi does it matter the monitor has speakers but it wont be better than my tvs or my headphones so I wont ever use them just pure video quality and how much of a jump is this really? I know 720p is half of 1080p and 1440 is like 80% more than 1080p so like 260% more? also its a 23.8 inch so higher ppi

dp vs hdmi doesn't matter

if ur monitor has speaker it's nice

just multiply 2560x1440 and then divide by 1360x768

yes higher ppi

your post is hard to read btw. dont write one full sentence without stops and proper punctuations

Use DisplayPort. HDMI may be limited to 1080p.

Otherwise the difference will be between a black hole and the sun.

And yep almost exactly, 1360×768 is 1 Mpx, 1440p is 3.6 Mpx, so 360% of it (or 260% more).

HDMI won't be limited... HDMI 1.4 can do 1440p @ 60hz and HDMI 2.0 can do 4k @ 60hz.

I myself wouldn't jump to 1440p. Instead I'm gonna go for a 1080p 144Hz screen since you are playing esports games, which benefit from high refresh rates more than high resolution.
