What Monitor should I buy? $100-300

Joeganja

So I currently have an HP 22cwa IPS monitor at supposedly 7ms and I'm just looking to upgrade a monitor with a shorter response time and more upgraded features. Now I do play PS4 so I'm not pc gaming currently possibly in the future but what do you guys think? Should i go with an Ultra Wide display? IPS vs TN? What do you guys use as far as monitors? Any recommendations?

I wouldn't go for an Ultrawide if you aren't even sure whether or not you'll play PC on it. Your PS4 will not play at the 21:9 resolution and you'll end up with black bars on the sides. Personally I'd prefer an IPS monitor over TN, though I think you'll find more affordable fast monitors on the TN side (though don't quote me on that). I'm currently using an old 120Hz TN 23" monitor, but am saving up for a 27" IPS. If you're only going to play PS4 on it you won't benefit from getting a high refresh rate monitor so you could just spring for a "quick" TN for 120-ish$

Ryzen is pretty cool I guess
