Should i use the Gigabyte GA-H270N-WIFI ITX Motherboard

i am about to build my first ever pc build, which will be a small form factor mini itx build (for multiple reasons) and i'm not sure what motherboard to get. i have my eyes set on the Gigabyte - GA-H270N-WIFI Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard but im not sure. the board seems old to me for some reason and i was wondering if that might effect my gaming experience, or if an old board means compromises. here are my specs, if that makes any diffirence:

cpu: core i7 7700k 4.2ghz quad core

gpu: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1

psu: EVGA - SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX

case: corsair obsidian series 250D itx

cpu cooler: Corsair - H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid

ram: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200

ssd: SanDisk - SSD PLUS 240GB 2.5"

hdd: Seagate - Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM

monitor: Acer - H226HQLbid 21.5" 1920x1080 60Hz

If you see any compatibillity issues or if you have any recommendations  I would love to hear them. this is my first build so the motherboard is kind of confusing to me, but i have experience with many of the other components.

Thank you in advance!

That motherboard can't overclock; ideally you should be looking at Z270 motherboards or the Z170 Maximus Impact (if you're after max overclocking and don't need M.2).

Would also get a smaller better PSU like the 550W G2/G3/RMx.

Probably because of the better IPC for gaming as that's all they have over Ryzen.

But really for the minimal amount of frames no it makes no sense to pay more for a premium

Also the H270 aren't old boards as they came out this year with Kaby Lake CPUs. For the i7-7700K you'd most definitely want to go with a Z270 board for overclocking.

True. 8th Generation Intel CPUs are going to have 6C/6T for the i5's and 6C/12T for the i7's. At least that's what I've heard from multiple YouTube videos.

thanks! but when you say "and don't need m.2"  do you mean that the mother board that you suggested does not support m.2? and also, do you think my system won't need more that 550W`? Sorry in advance if i sound stupid... :D

Would the ASRock - Z270M-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA1151  work? :D

550W is enough headroom for a 1080 Ti. The Impact doesn't have M.2.

Yes it will. ASRock is known for cheap quality boards.
