Triple GTX 1080's Rendering machine

Greetings from the Philippines, i am in need of your suggestions, Recommendations,.

I have a budget for 3 GTX 1080's for rendering machine, I mainly Use Thea render Software,

will you please help me come up with a parts list of good processor for the build, Ram, and mother board,

my best concerns is the motherboard, processor and brand of graphics card.

Things to note:

Mboard that supports 3 GtX 1080's

No plans for watercooling.

Will not SLI

32 GB RAM

$4000-$4500 Budget

I would like to go with Ryzen 7/ Threadripper as the budget allows.

Thank you very much!

Nvidia sli for 3+ cards is not natively supported for consumer grade card. Go for a 2x 1080ti.

how much CPU will this machine need?

because you could go with Ryzen 3 if you just need the GPU power, or Ryzen 7 / Threadripper if you need more CPU leverage.

thea's gpu engine is actually a hybrid and supports combined cpu+gpu rendering
you still need to do texture work and other stuff that benefits from a better cpu so i'd go with a r7 1700

Can you link me to an online store you can buy stuff from in the Philippines? PCPP doesn't have that as a region.

Rendering doesn't demand sli. Just the cards have to be in the same rig.

Each gpu will get a square of the rendered frame to work on.

Gamer nexus has a video on that hang on.

Edit:

He is running a Titan, 2x 1080 and a p4000 not really something you would sli lol.

See the added video for more in depth explaining. Something you will see as well with such a set up is that thermals is something to work on.

I'd still not recommend multi gpu without SLI but yeah it works, I was just pointing out that he could not SLI since he said it in the first post so that he was aware he couldn't :)
