Why is it so hard to find modem/router combos?

xNeon

My current actiontec has been hiccuping and kicking me out of lobbies for a few years now, and I'm completely sick of it. I have yet to find one that has a decent review. Do only certain routers work with certain ISPs?

Because all router modem combos are horrible, don't ask why they just are.

Its more worth it to buy a decent modem (ex. Motorola Surfboard for cable) and a stand alone router, these setups last longer and don't die every 5 minutes.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)
