wifi internet issues

I have an msi gt70 laptop and I am able to connect to my wifi network without any trouble the odd thing is not a single application gets Internet access even though windows thinks I am connected to the Internet. I am able to access the settings in my wireless router and the router works for other devices. It just randomly happened after watching a few Netflix shows.

Try pinging to the outside world. Open up command prompt by pressing winkey+R and type in cmd then press enter. After that type in "ping www.google.com". If it doesn't time out, it's probably firewall or some weird driver issues.

The Internet is invented by cats. Why? Why else would it have so much cat videos?
