What I really heard:

  1. I sold my GTX1070.
  2. I play on iGPU now.

Well its time for an upgrade then. xD

Yeah, I wasted too much time with playing video games during the semester. So I thought it is a good time to sell my GPU because I barely need it anymore.

incredably yes and i dont even give a shit. il be rocking a watercooled I7 4790K and GTX 1080 in about one and a half months to play what? OSU(at 1080p windowed) and Paladins! god damn esports titles at 1440p because who dosent need a 5GHz I7 and a GTX 1080 for that!

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Can we get a "Kind of both" option? I'm. not going totally overkill, but I'm slowly getting parts fro my new build with an R5 1600 and 980 Ti, when I could get by with a 970/980 and R5 1400 (it's mainly for Battlefront II when it comes out, and the alpha runs fine on a 970, ask @TVwazhere). And my case (Evolve ATX) is overkill, my mobo (Probs an MSI Gaming Pro Carbon or Gigabyte K5/K7) is overkill for my use case, and the custom loop I plan to do eventually is also overkill. But not complete overkill, thus why I need a middle ground option on the poll.

See, it's overkill, but not too much overkill. So I'm a moderate overkiller. True overkill would be a 7700K/R7 1700 and a 1080 Ti, with some insane ROG mobo, 64GB RAM, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and a custom loop with stainless steel tubing and custom machined fan mounted res.

I created this thread for entertainment only. We all waste money on stupid things we don't need. Don't take it too seriously. Just don't spend 5k every month when you are earning 1k then you will be good.

I earn about 1K after rent and such, but then I gotta buy gas and food and my car's favorite past time seems to be breaking (at least recently, hopefully it's done with its emo stage), And save money. And buy a subwoofer, and the Lego Slave I (Boba Fett's ship, the most beautiful Starcraft ever, but it's $200), more stuff for my PC, stuff for my Star Wars costume, other random stuff. So my poor wallet is being overkilled right now!

I know, but I've been hearing that the problems are getting fixed. And @revsilverspine has a Tomahawk B350, and seems to be happy with it.

And yeah, I wanted a Tiachi, but it doesn't match my build. And I have been eyeing the X370-F from ASUS.....

For the love of all that is sacred. Please don't. I've seen 3 issue threads today with the only common factor being MSI AM4 boards. They come up every day both here and reddit. Please just spend like $10 and buy literally anything else.

:( But they look soooo beautiful! Though the Gigabyte ones I mentioned are some of the nicest board out there as well. I'll see what's available when I purchase my mobo, and then get whatever looks the nicest/works the best.
