rip :( Personally my issues were more with the fact it would drain while plugged in if you did anything too intense, unreliable wifi, and android in general, but I don't regret getting it for a second

It's a good entry-level gaming machine but not a great tablet:

  • Poor battery life
  • Thick, bulky, uncomfortable to hold
  • Inferior colors and brightness
  • Cheap chassis
  • Using a controller for a portable device is silly

For those who love Android gaming, it's a great buy for $200+.  Myself, I wish I got an iPad Mini 4 instead so i could have a comfortable device to watch Youtube and text on.

Bought mine monstly for watching series/movies in the bed sometimes. Don't mind the "bad" design, I quite like the feel if the back and sides :)

But yeah, the battery life is not very good, and charges sloooowly! Also, the mini-hdmi is handy.

Screen is OK, except I got 1 dead pixel :/ 1080p is enough for everything I use it for.

I genuinely want to know. I am thinking about buying one down the line, mostly because I want the aluminum body, but apples leave a sour taste in my mouth.

I burned my hand on one, and it had just been sitting idle, sleep mode. Oh and sometimes they randomly turn on in your bag.

Anyone who tells you that you can't do something is unimaginative and probably a coward.

Low end processors either AMD or Intel but especially Intel. Every time I have tried to save money on building a rig by getting a less powerful processor it's come to bite me in the ass usually sooner rather then later.

I also avoid Apple products for several reasons including their socialist technological practices among more common reasons.

There's damn near no reason to ever justify purchasing one. They're priced considerably higher than equivalent HPs, Dells and Lenovos (even MSI laptops, which tend to run pricey), but the build quality and materials used are noticeably worse. You'd think they'd be a pretty good used buy, but for whatever dumb reason, the Razer brand means that a laptop must be worth at least 105% of what you paid for it two years ago.

By the way, that two years ago thing? If you buy a two-year-old Razer, your warranty expired a year ago. Not that it matters--Razer's customer support is a running joke around here and Reddit.

The one sentence version of why Razer should be on everyone's "do not buy" list:

Razer is Apple for idiots.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Mac anything

Wifi dependent anything

Photoshop

Microsoft Office (I'd rather get it for free) I have purchased the full version 3 times throughout my life

Windows - I have purchased new copies numerous times

Any software that I have already purchased once and should own the rights to indefinitely

Anything that forces me to rely on people or other software in order for it to function in accordance with my preconceived consideration

An Xbox

Intel powered laptops

Name brand clothing other than business attire

A used car

Video games when I cannot get a refund if they suck

Cell phones for which I cannot replace the battery

an LG Dare

A blackberry phone

Any phone that doesn't immediately come with an Otterbox

Same with a tablet

Any product or service which doesn't offer fully fluent customer support if avoidable

Any product or service in which I cannot press 0 to be immediately connected to said fully fluent person

College classes where the professors barely speak English

I have to say that anything with bloatware sucks and deserves to be immediately returned - seriously, I am willing to cover the cost of not including the bloatware

Anything blatantly made in China - you know what cheap products I am talking about; you know. 90s consumer electronics created this category

A smart watch

Another WoW expansion, or any game that requires a subscription

I will update this list throughout the next few days :)

My rig:

CPU: Ryzen 1700X
MOBO: Asus ROG Strix B350-F
RAM: 16GB of 3200 EVGA RAM
SSD: Samsung NVMe SSD 960 EVO M.2, 512GB
GPU: XFX RX 480 8GB RS
HDD: 1TB Seagate
Cooling: CORSAIR H110i & 2x Cooler Master MasterFan pro 140
PSU: CORSAIR CX750M

Case: Crystal 460X

People gawk at my Razer Stealth and wonder how the hell I play XCOM 2 on it. The truth of the matter is that anybody can stream games to their laptop.  I only wish that mine was as special as people think it is.

I like my Razer laptop.  Don't like the chipset, but the case and display are nice. The battery sucks.

Computers in general are just now starting to NOT suck.  It is nice.  Ryzen is affordably awesome.  Macs cover up their suck by restricting your experience.

Android Phones. I tried a couple of times, but I just can't get used to the different UI, Google constantly nagging me to use their services (I use Microsoft Office 365), the lack of updates (like when there was an error with how bluetooth works which could let a hacker to take full control of my phone and there weren't any updates for months), and other small things. Im just too comfortable with my good ol' iPhone 6.

I have a Nexus phone I get security updates once a month or once per two months or something.

Apple phones is a never thing for me, I just hate the UI too much. and the price.

What gear, product or service made you swear a vow to never purchase again? Try to avoid blacklisting an entire brand if you can help it, lol.

Due to lackluster performance and noise, my never again product, or at least one of them, CORSAIR FANS.
