Future Build Suggestions

This pc will be for heavy graphic design, gaming, 3d animation, video editing and so on.

I'm shooting for the following build (and yes it is my first)

CPU - Ryzen 1800x - $430

GPU - EVGA gtx 1080 - $604

RAM - DDR4 3000 16gb - $150

Motherboard - Asus Crosshair VI Hero - $270

Cooler - Hyper Evo 212 - $27

SSD - 240gb - $87

HDD - 3tb 7200rpm - $77

Case - corsair 570x - $170

PSU - evga 650w - $74

OS - Windows 10 - $90

Any possible issues?

-don't get an 1800x, get a 1700 instead and oc it (it ocs pretty much as well as the 1800x), it even comes with a stock cooler almost as good as the 212 evo so it would save you around $200 which you could put towards a 1080 ti

-mobo is a bit overkill but this build is pretty high end I guess, though you could get something cheaper like a Taichi or K5 and put the money towards a bigger ssd

-your list is very unspecific, what exact ram, what exact ssd, what exact hdd, what exact gpu, and what exact psu?

-what apps are you using for graphic design, video editing, and 3D animation?

-What is your total budget? I could get a list going.

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

So as far as programs go.

Photoshop

Krita

Illustrator

InDesign

Inventor

Maya

3ds Max

Mudbox

Premiere

OBS

I still need to figure out what monitor configuration to go for.

~$2000 for the pc

~$1000 for a keyboard (with macros), monitor, and new graphics tablet

The ssd was a Kingston and the HDD was a Toshiba.

How much would the tablet be?

Hm this is difficult.

Photoshop, indesign, illustrator, and maya are all very single threaded. 3ds max, obs, and premier are gonna like more threads. I don't know about the other 3 as I can't find good CPU benchmarks for them, but at least if I had to guess inventor would be more single threaded.

Becaude your apps are like a split in the middle with some being more single threaded and others being very multi threaded, I propose a compromise by getting a 7800x based system. Single threaded performance when OCed should approach 7700k performance and multi threaded performance when OCed should get close to the 1700 when OCed. It's gonna be vastly better than the 7700k in multi threaded and vastly better than the 1700 in single and won't be much worse than either when it comes to their strengths.

I'm not good with keyboards so I didn't include those, you can pick those yourself.

I didnt include windows since you can get it off kinguin or just use windows without it being activated (you just can't change the background and there's a few things here and there telling you windows isn't activated). If kinguin is too sketchy and you'd rather have a copy then just add one in for $90 or so.
