lucky74dog

Finally! After a lot of research and many hours of work, I am finally going to start my own PC build! I am going to start ordering the parts very soon, and will post updates as they arrive. It might take a while to get all of the parts, so it might be a while before I start building. I have big plans for this build!

I also plan on watercooling, after I actually finish the build. The last thing I need for this PC is a name, any suggestions?

I want the name to have something to do with computers. The only idea I had was "The Core", but that is not that good.

I think the best part about this is the case. I don't wan't to spend that much just on the case, but I saw a couple of build logs with it, and I know I need it!

Good suggestions, but none of them really stand out. It'd be awesome to give a prize to the person with the best name, but all my money is going to the PC. Maybe a binary cookie.:)

Sorry about image quality, I have no expensive cameras, and bad lighting! Whatever the picture quality, it's still an awesome piece of modern technology!

Thanks. The case should be comming soon too, and my birthday is soon so I might get some of the cheaper parts then like the fans, cooler, and ram from my friends and relatives. I don't think getting the 290 will be quite as easy...

I have everything I need to build it, but it won't be finished until I have my graphics card, and H105. I am sorry, but I cannot post any pictures because I am not at home at this moment, but I will as soon as I can! I am going to build it  Sunday.

I finished building it, and doing cable management, so I am ready to show it off to the LTT forums! It'l be nothing special until I actually get a graphics card, and H105, but I still am happy with it! Somehow I lost my ROG sticker.

I know. I am still on the fence about the GPU. And, I have decided that watercooling is unlikely to happen. It probably will, but that would be far in the future. I was hoping that, with the twin Frozr, it would be Frozn. :P

If you are feeling a bit iffy about the GPU, you could get a GTX 780 EVGA B-Stock. They are lower priced since they are manufacturer refurbished, but still come with a 1 year warranty for $419. It is the stock cooler, but will still run 15C cooler than the R9 290.

I'd be completely fine with that, but it won't fit my red/black theme! The terrible life of a PC enthusiast.  :P

Agreed. I want to get a Z87 MPOWER, but I am not sure that it would match my white C70 :P
