Is is this a safe way of waking up my computer?

Hey, this might be a completely stupid question, but I'd like to know if waking my computer from sleep via the on/off button on the case will have any long term problems?
I went into the device manager and made sure that my keyboard or mouse can wake the computer, even checked if the 'allow computer to turn off device' boxes were unchecked. I went into the BIOS and tried to add a combination of two keys on my keyboard in order to awake my pc, but...nothing worked.

Thank you to anyone who helps me out!! This community is amazing and I'm at a loss for words at how helpful you all are! :)

Thanks!! Does anyone have any tips on how to specifically make my bios let my mouse awake with the keyboard?
Maybe I entered the wrong area in the BIOS, but it let me add a combination of keys that I wanted for waking up my computer. Anyone knowledgeable in this field?

Hm, I'll see if I can activate the mouse in BIOS. I'll be back. Thanks everyone for your help :) Hope I don't mess up.

go to device manager

select human interface devices

double click first device

go to power management tab, then if the option is available tic 'allow this device to wake computer'.

now do the same to all devices in this category.

then go to keyboard and do the same to all devices in this category.

then again in the mouse category.

I did everything you said plus enabled mouse to wake up pc in bios...Guess I'm doomed to forever wake my computer from the on and off button. It's not a big deal, I just don't want to damage anything.

PS: When the computer is asleep, the mouse continues to have power, just doesn't wake up my pc.

OMG!! I'm so dull!!! My biggest mistake was not enabling USB to turn on PC. *facepalm* I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time, but you all pushed me to double check my bios settings. Thanks! It works now!! :D

Whatever works for you. To wake mine, I blindly touch a random key or push my mouse lol

It pain the the ass when you shut it off and you accidentally knock the mouse.

Glad you fixed your issue :) It is better to wake it from sleep using your keyboard or mouse, but the power button is safe to use.

Hello! It's me just passing through :)
