Ivy bridge CPU prices haven't actually dropped ever since their release, apart from the usual 10$ off deals...

We shouldn't let intel get away with this !

I'm not surprised at all, personally. On Ivy Bridge they used thermal compound on the heat spreader to cut costs. I'm going to laugh if everyone who demanded they use fluxless soldering are going to be the ones complaining the price is a little higher now... Of course we don't know if they are using fluxless soldering again, but I would assume so.

What does the S at the end of the model numbers stand for?
I think it stands for energy efficient but dont quote me on that

Gonna skip it. Need a new extreme processor to come out instead. With an awesome memory controller.

If they OC like beasts it may be worth it, obviously this is yet to be shown though.

Also, these are pre-release prices for only 2 stores, wait til they come out and you can better gauge their true launch price across the board.

Hopefully the two stores in this are overpriced and they'll be cheaper if not...AMD here I come
