Um... there's a CX500.

Some AMD CPU judging by the AMD sticker on the cooler.

Some video card of some sort...

Really need a better picture in both clarity and angle.

Is it worth buying it for $30?

try to make sure what the specific parts are.. the psu is already there so yeah.. we know that its an amd cooler so it maybe an fx but don't hope that its an apu cuz those are just sad and judging by the color of the pcb, it maybe an older model of either an nvidia or amd card.. what i can only say is if you can ask your friend to remove the heat sink and show what it says and also ask how much ram it has

Start the PC, press the windows key on the keyboard (Or the start button in the bottom left corner) when on Desktop, if you're Windows 7 or 8 type and search for DxDiag. For Windows 10 you have to search through Cortana by touching her button.

It will tell you what CPU you have, how much RAM you have, and what GPU you have. Those are really the important specs. Click on My Computer to see what hard drives are in the system.

DxDiag comes pre-installed on any and all modern Windows PC's with DirectX on it (If it's a Windows PC, with Windows XP or up, it will have and use that). You don't have to download anything, it's completely free.

I am honestly disgusted people do not know this basic knowledge. It's fine if OP doesn't know, because he clearly doesn't know so he's in the position to learn. But someone suggesting a PAID FOR program to get information that is already available for free, and built in to the operating system is just disgraceful.
