A PSU Confusion

I dropped a plastic CMOS cap inside my PSU, which is the EVGA 500+ Bronze Unit. Is it safe to use?

It's probably fine but I highly recommend taking the psu out and shaking the cap out through the fan grill just in case before turning it on.

What's a cmos cap?

Like above, unscrew the power supply and turn it upside down, tilt it, play with it so whatever dropped in will fall out.

The little thing to short out the BIOS reset pins that at least most older motherboards had.

Sorry for the few off Capital letters in my posts, it does it on its own when I Write in English, since my OS is in another Language. It's annoying.

Oh, the technical term for that is "jumper"

But yeah, shake it out. The ends are metallic and can cause short circuits inside the power supply.
