Weird Old Monitor

spree

Hello!

I recently found this old monitor at my grandpas place, however it has a weird cable. It is blue - Which directly tells me it's VGA. Or is it? It's a weird connector, 15 pin. Is it DVI or VGA? And also - where can I found a VGA to HDMI or VGA to displayport?

-Thanks

Dsub 15... should be vga. Google or search amazon for vga to hdmi

"should be" is not really the confident answer I was looking for. And I cant seem to find any vga to HDMI cables, only these weird hub stations.

Well I litterally just said that I'd rather have one cable which had VGA at one end and HDMI on the other, I too found those hub thingys. Are there no cables which has this? Do I need that hub thing?

Think so. Never seen a cable with hdmi in one end and vga in the other. Doesn't mean they don't exist but I've been working with It for 10 years now and never come across one.

Haha no worries, it took you 10 seconds because you live in the best country when it comes to buying stuff - you can use amazon. I can't order from amazon :(

Yeah that's just a VGA cable. You can find adapters in pretty much any store that sells display cables.

Do I need that hub thing that noobcase linked? Or are there cables with hdmi/displayport at one end, and at the other VGA?

FOR I HELVETE! I will check amazon.co.uk :) for a VGA to hdmi adapter, or maybe I should switch my 144hz monitor to displayport from DVI, and use the old one with a simple vga to DVI one, either way thanks for the help. All of you!

No. You can just use a cable.
