What electronics do you take on the road?

What electronics do you take on the road? Does anyone remember a LTT video on that particular topic? I remember to some degree but I can't find it.

I would grab my phone and chromebook, as well as their chargers.

I don't recall watching such a video. The closest one I can remember about this topic is Austin Evans' home caught fire and he grabbed his Macbook and phone out, only. Of course he's not prepared at all for this, but it sort of highlights what electronics he cares about most.

If there's one item that I've never left home, it'd be my Game Boys (Brick (official name)/GBP/GBC/GBA/SP/Micro/DS/DSLite/DSi/3DS/3DSXL/New 3DS). My phone can be forgotten so no calls or LTT. My wallet forgotten so no lunch. My Game Boy? F#ck it, turning around to get it before going to work or school.

My only daily tech is my phone and bluetooth headphones. But when I travel, my laptop (thin and light ultrabook, not a gaming laptop), gopro + relevant accessories, and a battery bank go with me as well, plus the respective chargers. I try to travel light, and only bring what I need.

If my house was to catch fire, the only tech I would grab would be my travel items, which live in my backpack when not in use. I would be running out of the house with my backpack on, cat in one arm, dog in the other. IF I could run back in, then I would try to grab my desktop pc, and a few valuables and keepsakes. I don't have a whole lot, but what I do have is decently nice or special to me. I would try to get as much of it as I could outside before the flames got out of control.

"On the road" to me means a longer than normal trip.

I have a Tenba DNA 15 bag that always has:

1. Macbook Pro and charger

2. D750 + a Lens

3. Large USB Battery Pack

4. A charged extra phone battery, extra camera batteries, extra AA and A batteries, and associated chargers

5. FT1XD Ham Radio/GPS Tracker and charger/batteries.

6. Tenba Cable Pouch with every cable I'd ever need, and headphones

7. SD Cards and 256GB USB SSD.

Sometimes it will have:

1. Gorillapod

2. Bluetooth Mouse

3. Android Tablet

Phone.

I used to have an external batterypack but that died while camping last year.

I take way more non-electronic things than electronics. (Pocket knife, kabar knife, flint and steel with cottonballs in a watersafe container, bandage wraps, granola bars, beef jerky and water)

I take my phone and a stun gun.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

Depends how long I would be on the road for... If it's just a couple hours(up to 6), my phone, earphones and my charger for cars.

If it's multiple days, I'd bring a tablet, battery banks, chargers, Nintendo DS and headphones.

Phone, iPod, laptop, headphones, battery pack.

That's only if I'm going on a road trip.  If I'm just going to work, I just grab my phone.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

If I'm going to be staying at a hotel for more than one night, I bring a raspberry pi and a keyboard/remote.

It has saved me a number of times.  Connecting to hotel wifi with a phone isn't exactly safe and  I don't want to use my phone's data to watch videos or browse stuff online.

I forgot to mention a travel router.

Because you never know when the 5Mbps Wifi is $30 a day, but the IP Phone's Ethernet connection is completely unsecured and unthrottled with 150mpbs service.

Music.  Depending on the circumstances (temperature, destination, clothing, carrying options) either a simple mp3 player with regular headphones or the full-on audiophile setup (hi-res player with amp) and the good headphones.

Sometimes my phone, but only when I'm expecting a call from work.

Oh, and my laptop when I have to actually go to work.  Apart from that no tech tho.

I typically take my kindle, phone and my headphones with me:

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.

999 posts :)

Back to the topic, I bring my laptop (Asus UX31LA), its charger, an adapter for the cigarette lighter to an AC outlet (can't remember the technical name if there is one), my headphones (use them 24/7, $10 Panasonic earbuds that I personally love), a book if my parents make me or if I don't have anything else to do, very rarely my mouse, my pocket knife (never had to use it aside from opening a package or two, hopefully that doesn't change anytime soon), and maybe some other stuff I can't remember.

Quote me to see my reply!
