[Help] 1440p Monitor For Dual Setup w/ PG279Q

Twiixtor

• What could be a good 1440p 27" 60Hz cheap monitor that I could use as a second monitor alongside the PG279Q?

My Current Monitor: Acer S240HL 1080p 24" 60Hz

Monitor I Want To Get: ASUS PG279Q 1440p 27" 165Hz

I was originally planning on getting the ASUS VG248QE 1080p 24" 144Hz monitor and have my current one as the second monitor but I decided to upgrade the resolution and I feel like having a 1440p monitor and a 1080p as your secondary would feel weird since the resolution difference. I've seen side by side comparisons for 1440p and 1080p and it just doesn't look right in my opinion.

I don't have any real budget but at the same time I don't want to dish out over $1400 on two monitors.

Thanks :)

What about Dell's SD274DG what ever the name is? What i know it is popular in this 1440p non IPS category

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

Sorry for the late reply. I tried looking that monitor up and I could not find it. Any other suggestions?

I also changed my mind again and opted to go for the IPS version but the secondary monitor does not have to be IPS unless a cheap one appears.

Assuming both PG279Qs are the ones you use mainly... and those have IPS already which cost a fair bit over the other panels, are you okay with a sub-par display like TN panel?

If so these are the few I can find in Australia that fit the resolution and screen size, search in your own country for the corersponding model necessary:
Asus PB277Q, 27 inch, freesync, 1ms, TN [499aud], 2560x1440p resolution.

Viewsonic VP2768, 27 inch, IPS [599aud], 2560x1440p resolution

Viewsonic VX3209-2K, 32 inch, IPS [399aud], 2560x1440p resolution
BENQ PD2700Q, 27 inch, IPS [599aud], 2560x1440p resolution
