Do You Invert X/Y? - POLL

I am an inverted guy, I used to play Flight Simulator 98 on the PC at school (that's all there was before you call me a bore) and that started a trend that I've not quit on with 1 exception and that's first person mode in MGS games, it feels better on regular, I can't explain why.

In all games, be it mouse or controller I invert the Y axis because that's what feels natural to me, pull down to look up as you would in an aircraft, I'm posting this to find out who does and who doesn't, and for what reasons! If I try to play a shooter on regular I will keep dipping up and down looking at the floor and sky like a cretin.

I've also put in an option for people who invert their X axis, although I don't know anyone who does that.

I know there was a topic on this a few months ago, but it wasn't a poll when it really should have been, and it was only in the PC Gaming section, this is something that affects all gaming so I've put it here, vote away!

I only invert on flight sims since that's how I learnt it first on Flight Sim X. Other than that, everything else is regular

Flipping Y with a mouse makes zero sense. Joysticks are another matter.

I only flip Y with flight controls when using M/K.

When using a controller, however, I flip both X and Y for 3rd person camera controls.

Absolutely not. I can't stand it. I remember when I used to play on console, and some games where by defualt inverted. So I had to ge used to it. When I later played a game with "normal" controls again, everything was fucked up.

I personally don't enjoy 9-string guitars, but that doesn't change the fact that they look awesome as hell!

I keep my co trols default for most games... I am good at adapting... And normally if I am playing the game for the first time... I wanna try it... And then I may adjust controls... But by that time... Iv adapted to the sensitivity... Inverted or not... And controls...

I've never played any sort of simulator, so I've never experience this. & By extension didn't develop a pattern of inversion.

Depends. In flying games ill try keep it as standard as possible. In ARMA2 all the flying has weird vertical inversion. In shinobido I have to set both axis to inverted... I think.

What do you mean by inverted? both can be argued as inverted depending on how you look at it.

I am weird with flight controls. Flying is one of if not my favorite thing to do in most games however I don't consistently use inverted. I don't know how to explain it but some games I will say "this feels like I should be flying inverted" and other games I don't bother switching it up.

when I play flight sims I invert the y, to make it more realistic to real planes, but in just about everything else I play regular.

I play inverted only when using a controller and it doesn't matter what game, in basically most if not all cases i will invert, flight sim or not. I guess i sort of extrapolate the "technique" of using the inverted Y controls  for flying a plane/aircraft to standard camera or aiming actions, not really that hard or different to me.
