Which mechanical keyboard should I get?

Hello, I want to buy a mechanical keyboard with:

Great build quality

Cherry MX blue (or a good quality equivalent)

Great looking RGB lights

I was looking at the Razer blackwidow chroma yesterday at a computer cafe and I loved it! but then I came and saw there's a v2 -,- I don't know what to buy now lol

I saw the k95 platinum but that one is very very expensive and it doesn't have cherry BLUE :( only BROWN and MX SPEED

I also looked at the Logitech g710 cherry blue but I can't find it anywhere

btw I live in AbuDhabi (near Dubai) not in USA

Thank you for any kind of info you can provide on the subject

Razer usually have poor build quality. There's K70 LUX comes in MX Blue if it's available. I personally using G710+ as my daily keyboard (Cherry Brown)

Haha just making sure you've actually tried them, I researched for a while and thought those were the switches for me as well. Bought a K70, wanted to smash it after 15 minutes of using it.

Ptetty sure Razer is all knockoff switches, but they do have a blue cherry equivalent. Also no to Corsair. The non standard bottom row is a turn off.

I've got a Strafe RGB with mx blues currently, but it's an elusive board.

You can't buy them new afaik, so the used market is your only option, and eBay pricing is ridiculous. I ran across mine on r/hardwareswap, and it's been fantastic.

Snorlax: i7 5820k @4.5ghz, Asus X99 Pro, 32gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666, Cryorig R1 Ultimate, Samsung 850 evo 500gb, Asus GTX 1080 ROG Strix, Corsair RM850x, NZXT H440, Hue+

Smallsnor: Huawei Matebook X

Canon AE-1 w/ 50mm f/1.8 lens

Pentax KM w/ 55mm f/1.8 SMC lens

Zenit-E w/ 58mm f/2 Helios lens

Panasonic G7 with 14-42mm f/3.5 lens

Polaroid Spectra System

Dell AT101. Get one. Or a model M. Older keyboards are of much higher build quality than a lot of keyboards and they have better switches. (Such as buckling switches or ALPS) You can mod them with RGB if you are willing to work. Personally I'd never do that but yeah.

I have a problem with people. The only things I like are 787Bs and PCs.

Keep in mind you might want PBT key caps, they are really nice to type on.

I would recommend,

Ducky shine 6 (has PBT)

CM masterkeys series

Corsair k70's

gskill keyboard (forget the name)

I wish you lived where I do. The computer store I go to has them all racked and ready to go, as well as in overstock. They planned ahead.

Look at the bottom row where the space bar is at. Corsair uses squished keys for some reason. Not a huge deal if you don't plan to ever customize your keyboard with new caps. But for those that like swapping keycaps, that is an issue.

Razer switches are made by Kaihl which is a Chinese Cherry knock-off brand that makes terrible switches.

They changed manufacturer, it is Greetech now.  They are a bit more reliable and better made, but still not as good as Cherry.
