Is it a good idea to buy a used GTX Card

I'm currently using my old GTX 750 and wanna upgrade to a newer yet still cheap budget GTX card, is it a good idea to buy a used graphics card. I've heard all of the bitcoin mining shit but I still don't know. Please help

Should be fine if you get it from a reputable dealer. Nvidia cards will be less battered than AMD ones since they are only used by miners as a 2nd pick.

Can be, depends on the card, its condition and the price.

You should be able to just ask if it's been used for mining. If not, then its probably fine to get a 900 or 1000 series GTX gpu, although in the budget range you will get better value from a AMD R9 560 or 570.

if youre buying a card now buy used maxwell cards, thet arent used for mining so they are still cheap
