What can you do with an Pentium??

I have an Dell Dimension 3100 

                Pentium 4 HT 3.00ghz

                

I want to use it as a small office setup do you think I should put Windows Server 2003 on there?

 

Is it worth it????

what exactly do you want to do? just have it as a samba fileserver or manage thousands of emails and having a big ass database?

Em........I want to use it so that I can log onto many different computers and just play around with it really.

not worth it, waste of power, server 2003 is a security nightmare, 

 

you can get a much better system for not much more.

What about a Core 2 Quad at 2.33ghz

Throw in a Xeon and it would be faster and cheaper than a core 2 quad if the motherboard supports it

How do you define "many"? If you are talking about 3-4 PCs, a quad core is fine. If you are talking 80, this won't work.

Yes. Still learning about servers. So I can log onto a Rajieth (for example) on one computer and log on again on another as Rajieth.

what os are these others systems?

 

you probably shouldn't do it like this. Why not jsut remote into the indivual systems?

 

FOr a nas, get something like a synology box.
