Cpu upgrade

Currently have a i5 4690k running at 4.5Ghz

im gonna try to do some streaming

debating if I should invest in 1700x or 7700k

for gaming and streaming

considering I would have to upgrade motherboard cpu and ram (only 16gb at 1600 ddr3)

what would you suggest me to me to upgrade to?

currently using a 1080ti

thanks in advance

The only reason you should get the 7700k is if you want high refresh gaming 120+hz if that is not a big concern Ryzen would be best.

use intel quick sync to stream and keep your current CPU, it's plenty...or even better, use your GTX 1080ti to do the streaming with Shadowplay...

Do you have the bracket for AM4? If yes 1700X then, it is more promising to get it to 4GHz

I think my cooler came with one. I'll check when I get home.
