Update: About half sold 5 hours into the drop, still over 3500 pairs for sale

 

Update 2: One day in and only 4000 units sold. There are a lot pf people upset with how this drop is going down it seems, seeing as there was over 60,000 requests for this drop to be brought back...

 

Sadly they were $200 when I got them in December (also Estimated ship date is Dec 18, 2017.  )

UPDATE!!! Massdrop has mad e the announcement a price drop if the set hits above 5,000 orders. This seems to be due to the abysmally low orders, and many people canceling their orders in favor of other options .Also an extension of the drop has been made, And an increase in volume has been made. Now 11,500 have been agreed to be produced

Amazon had the HD650's for $315 (not really a deal though) if waiting six months isnt your thing (I dont blame you if it isnt)

You could probably find them at a similar $250~ pricepoint around black friday (if not in an earlier sale) and still get them sooner though.

If I didnt have mine from the first drop, I probably wouldnt buy these just because of that. If it was three months I would probably do it though. The original took 1-2 months and it wasnt too bad of a wait in all honesty

Just saw that. Sadly I'm in agreement with everything you've mentioned. But still, for people who want to wait and dont mind losing $250 for 6+ months, its still a "deal" and they're good headphones. Just sucks they got undercut (Sidenote, it's not massdrops fault for the price increase, it's Sennheiser)

It's a deal except that they will probably go on sale on Black Friday and you would still end up getting them about a month earlier.

I know and at this point I'm like wtf. I do certainly hope that the people who bought their pair on the original second run (before june 30th) will get theirs beforethe newer run as well as a lower number. Don't honestly wanna have my serialized number over 10000. hoping on getting the lowest possible number. But I know this won't happen and honestly I'm a bit pissed at both massdrop and sennheiser here. 6 months since they can't get the material from their suppliers soon enough? Then don't fucking do another run for 21500 units. I'd be getting my unit a the same time as the last guy who'll get it. I'm legit mad right now.

They do go by order # though,. so those who ordered first will get a lower serial number. That's never been an issue AFAIK
