Good Steering Wheel

CBojorges

Hi all.

I'm new to pc gaming and I'm looking for a good Steering wheel. I was thinking about spending 300 usd approximately.

My fist choice was the Logitech g920 but I saw this guy's video and made me doubt. He says something about the technology it uses being outdated so games might not work well with it.

Thanks in advance.

didnt watch the video but the g920 is still pretty decent. i think the guy's referencing the helical gear motors, which aren't the most robust FFB motor for sim racing but it gets the job done. the predecessor, the g27 is another one but it's pretty rare

I loved my G27 for my Racing sim. the added gearbox was really nice. yeah its not the best Steering around but value for money was amazing and we did a Nurburg 24H race in it with 3 other friends and loved it.

Take it over the G29 anyday ! !

Try find a G27, used is ok because these wheels built to last for many many years but you need to make sure the pedal is not spiking and modulate linearly. Make sure it's much cheaper than the G29/G920 too. :P

Logitech wheels is gear driven. DFGT, G25, G27, G920/G29.

My old DFGT is pretty loud but my current G27 is much quieter. I heard they improved it even more with G920/G29.

The H-Shifter is bundled with G25/G27 but need to purchase separately with G920/G29.

G25/G27/G920/G29 use the same pedal afaik.

If you have current gen consoles only G920/G29 will work.

Since T300RS is much more expensive there i guess G29/G920/G27 is the wheel for you.

Watch this comparison video.

I myself have this setup, G29 with pedals, thrustmaster shifter th8a and wheelstand pro deluxe v2 with the holder for shifter and i COULDNT BE HAPPIER :)

The experiense is great, only issue i have with the G29 is the deadzone when the steering wheel is precisely in the middle, there is a point where the motors inside do nothing, u have to move it about 5mm to either side to feel everything :)
