Wireless server to connect 2 pc's and a mac

To put it basically im a beginner in networking and know not very much i just need to know how i can make a wireless network to connect 2 windows pc's and a mac together (they are all in the same room) and i dont want to use ethernet cables and wire them up to a switch.

if there in the same room, ethernet cables are the best solution, most reliable, fastest, cheapest. Otherwise just use wifi.

you need a wireless access point and a wireless card in the computers.

ok as im quite good with computers im sure ill work it out but is that all i need an access point and wifi cards? what about the mac will that be an issue in transferring data with windows machines.

every mac in the last 10 years has wifi built in.

 

Do you want to copy files to a nas or to the other pcs?

 

You can just mount the nas on your computers.

 

Or share a folder on your computers.

ok fair enough cheers you guys are so good on this forum im like 15 and treated as though im like a proper adult. i know a lot about computers bujt still have much more t learn i built my first one when i was 11 and have been researching watercooling for 3 years now and am soon gonna do my first custom water cooled pc. Im getting into case modding now as well like i have dabbled in all parts of technology sadly the server and nas and networking side of things i sort ove forgot but would love to pick it up again

if you want to get into the networking stuff i can only agree with the other guy that you should go for lan cables.

 

it may be a little more work to route the cables but you save yourself money and have a way better connection.
