Productivity Ultrawide?

Pendragon

Looking for a productivity ultrawide. Not for graphics. For excel work. Want 1440p. Don't care about high refresh or GSync and stuff. Strictly work. Budget is unlimited, but I dont need color or the gaming stuff so this should be a cheap ultrawide. Just the best bang for buck essentially.

I know nothing about monitors, but are you srs? A 1.2k gaming monitor is the best cost to benefit for a productivity ultrawide that requires none of the features that the x34 provides?

I'd get the LG 29UM68-P one, Ultrawides at 1440p resolution are extremely premium products there is very little offerings, there are some Korean brands:

But those are always a bet, can work really well or suck really bad.

If you're working with stuff like Microsoft Office and not necessarily something that demands high graphical quality I think the 2560x1080p variant at 29inchs the 29UM68-P is the best pick.

Do you want a curved ultrawide or are you fine with one that isn't curved?

EDIT: You don't need a curved monitor. The AOC U3477PQU will do just fine for you.

The Dell U3415 would be my pick. Good warranty, 1440p resolution, good colors, price hovers around ~$750, doesn't look like something a 14 year old sketched in math class. I use it for excel and the extra width is amazing.

Alternatively Samsung has 1080p ultrawide that is 32:9 ratio, i.e. exactly two 24" monitors worth of space without the vertical bezels. That would be my pick for a productivity oriented setup if the price is reasonable.
