Steam low download speed

Hi all, i have a 200 mbps download speed (yes i know you have to take 1/8 to get your real download speed in mb) but when i try to download rainbow6s i have like 5 mbps

Check to see if Steam is displaying in Mb/s or MB/s

Settings > Downloads > Check "Display download speed in bits per second"

 

Part of the slowdown is probably due to the summer sale though, the servers generally get pretty stressed this time of the year.

I also have slowdown issues since friday. I think it´s most likely due to the summer sale

Have you not seen the summer sale banners? The steam servers are getting hit the fuck up. It will get better when the sale ends.

Its the Steam Summer Sale.  Its best to download the games purchased after the sale.
