Refurb 4G i7 vs Ryzen

yathis

Bad idea to mix two memory speeds.

I'll take the i7, but mind telling me the full specs?

The memory choice was one or the other, wanted to compare price.

I am making a sarcastic joke in that why would I buy a 4G i7 refurbished system when I could buy Ryzen and have it more relevant and speedy then 4G i7 system.

I need to sell my i7-920, X58 LGA-1366, 1TB, 16GB, 600W, W7 system. Hoping to make $50 off it so sell it for $250 as I never use it.

In that case, get the Ryzen and 2800MHz memory.

For $30 more its a good choice to get extra ram, I concure Captain Kirk!!!!!!

How long before prices start to drop on AMD Ryzen?

Maybe when Intel comes out, so a year or 2?

How much do you want em to drop?  If you have a friend near a microcenter or live close to the border you can get a 1600 + decent b350 mobo for less than what it costs for the 1600 alone here in Canada (CAD is really strong rn, it's 25 cents to the dollar instead of 30)

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Does Microcenter ship?

I could use one of them mail forwarders.

But to drive across the border is a big no for me, unfortunately. Could do it, could even go border jumping, but it needs to be a big long trip worth doing.

Best bet is to have a friend who travels/lIves in the states grab it for you.

If you can trust someone on the forum with your money and asked nicely I'm sure there would be someone willing to pick up a little extra on their next exursion.

It was 410 + ON tax (13%) so actually the cheapest 1700 in canada I've seen.

It's hard to be a PCMR when you are in middle school and accidentally agreed with your mom to not upgrade any parts in 7 years except for minor stuff like RGB and wifi cards. 5 years to go lol

Ya, having a decent paying job helps get the ryzen running if you know what I mean.

Heres a great hustle go buy 3-4 cases of water ($3.50 each) a bag of ice ($3.50) and your families mobile cooler (or a bucket/Styrofoam cooler $3)

Sell the water for 50c-$1 a bottle and if you got cases of 20 it's a profit of 6-17 bucks per bottle.

Its Canada soon so it's the best time of year to sell water, you might sell as many as a dozen cases on Canada day

(Only buy more water if you know it will sell though)
